Making sure every student has what they need to succeed 

Communities in Schools | 2025 

In 2025, Foundation XNL sponsored a Communities in Schools site coordinator at Ruby Duncan Elementary School, helping students overcome challenges that can stand between them and their education. 

The site coordinator focused on improving attendance, encouraging accountability and positive behavior and strengthening students’ social-emotional skills. Foundation XNL’s support also helped provide a resource room where students could access everyday essentials — including coats, shoes, school supplies and hygiene products. 

For a child, something as basic as not having the right shoes, supplies or personal-care items can become a very real barrier to showing up confidently and ready to learn. 

Through this partnership, Foundation XNL is helping remove those barriers and ensuring that students have both the practical resources and personal support they need to succeed — in the classroom and beyond.
