Building the next generation of teachers

Public Education Foundation | 2022 

In 2022, Foundation XNL invested in the Public Education Foundation to help launch Teacher FastTrack, an innovative initiative designed to address Southern Nevada’s teacher shortage by developing talent already within our schools. 

Teacher FastTrack identifies school employees who aspire to become licensed teachers and prepares them to enter a teacher apprenticeship program at UNLV. By creating a pathway for individuals who already know their schools, understand their communities and are committed to local students, the program helps build a stronger and more sustainable pipeline of educators. 

The initiative also provides mentorship and support to hundreds of new teachers during their critical first three years in the classroom. 

Through this investment, Foundation XNL is helping strengthen the people at the heart of education — giving aspiring and new teachers the opportunity, preparation and support they need to build lasting careers while creating stronger classrooms for Southern Nevada students.
