Helping students overcome barriers to learning 

Communities in Schools | 2023 

In 2023, Foundation XNL sponsored a Communities in Schools site coordinator at Doris Hancock Elementary School, bringing personalized support and critical resources directly to students on campus. 

Through integrated student support, 505 students took part in enrichment activities and gained access to basic-needs resources, while 58 students received individualized case management and more intensive support. 

Behind those numbers are children facing challenges that can make it harder to learn, participate and succeed. Having a trusted person at school who can connect a student with the right resources can make a meaningful difference. 

Foundation XNL’s investment helped ensure that students had not only educational opportunities, but also the relationships, resources and support they needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
